This past Sunday we held a "Party with the Pastor" lunch after the service. We invited new attenders to join us for lunch with Pastor Ben as he shared his heart for the mission and vision of Lifestone Church. Ben also shared specifics on how these new attenders, too, can join us on our mission to share the Truth about God's Grace with the South Valley area. We were pleased to welcome 6 adults along with many questions about what we believe and why we exist. Please pray that God adds them to our church family, if that is His will, and that we welcome them in and show them love like they've never experienced!
In our last post, you read about our church-wide 40 Days in the Word study. On Sunday morning, March 6th, we will present what we're calling 40 Days Celebration Sunday. For the past few weeks, we've given 40 Days participants the opportunity to share their stories of what God is doing in their lives through this amazing time in His Word. We've asked them to allow us to video their responses to the following questions:
1. How has 40 Days changed how you LOVE, LEARN, or LIVE God's Word?
2. What have you enjoyed most about being in a LifeGroup?
3. Describe your group's service project and how it impacted you personally.
Our prayer is that God uses this video to allow our church family to reflect on how far we've come in just 7 weeks as we've come to love, learn, and live His Word. Please pray that God uses this time of celebration in ways that we haven't even considered. How powerful to hear from our people on how they've seen God work in their hearts, their families, and in our church. We plan to share the completed project with you soon!
It's certainly that time of year....Pray for our leadership team as we PLAN, PLAN, and PLAN some more! If you read our last post, He's Growing His Church, then you are in the know about all that will be keeping us busy out here in Herriman in the months to come! We are currently prepping for and promoting the following events: our Easter Service & Egg Hunt, Student Summer Camp (June), Student Mission Trip to LA (July), and Kid's Life Camp outreach event (July), to name a few. Pray that God keeps us more focused than busy this Spring and Summer-that in all we do, we work at it with all our hearts with the sole purpose of bringing glory to His Name.
